Another three people have died since yesterday in French Polynesia's Covid-19 pandemic, which to date has claimed 52 lives.
95 people with Covid-19 symptoms are in hospital, including 25 in intensive care.
All but 62 of the nearly 11,000 cases were detected after the borders were reopened in July and mandatory quarantine requirements were abolished.
Some schools are closed today because of a strike by teacher unions which say the protection measures are inadequate.
A nightly curfew has been in place since late last month and meetings in public are limited to six people.
The French High Commission said over the weekend, 17 people were found in breach of the curfew.
Local media reported a wedding went ahead on a small private island off Bora Bora attended by more than 100 people.
