Silver Ferns coach still mulling over midcourt

The Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken says she's still mulling over her mid-court options in the absence of the injured captain Julie Seymour ahead of Sunday night's opening netball test against Australia in Melbourne.

On top of Seymour's absence the Silver Ferns are also without defender Leanna Du Brain, who didn't make the trip due to personal reasons - which means they've lost the experience of over 100 Test caps since Saturday's third test win over England.

Aitken says she's likely to play Laura Langman at centre, which means Maree Bowden is likely to slot in at wing attack.

But if that combination doesn't work she can call on Liana Barrett-Chase or Wendy Telfer.
