Community budgeting services will receive a $22 million boost in this month's budget, Radio New Zealand reports.
Social Development Minister Paula Bennett said the new funding would go to non-government organisations over four years to ensure the services could keep up with demand.
Ms Bennett said the services provided critical money management help to thousands of people. The investment will increase the organisations' funding by more than 60 percent, to $15 million a year by 2015/16.
