President Donald Trump has been formally nominated for election as the Republican Convention gets underway in North Carolina.
Honoring the Great American Story is the theme of the convention which consists of speeches and performances being streamed online over the next four days.
Trump used a surprise visit to the convention to make a rambling and at times inflammatory case for his re-election.
He also discussed how well he believed his government has handled the Coronavirus pandemic.
