Police say the body of an overdue tramper has been found in the Mt Adams wilderness area, south of Harihari on the West Coast.

In a statement, Police said the man was reported missing yesterday after failing to return from a trip.
A West Coast Search and Rescue team located the body this morning and the body was recovered shortly after.
Police said the death has been referred to the coroner.
