The police in Tokoroa investigating a gang-related shooting on Wednesday have arrested a tenth person, a 19-year old man.
Jesse Abbott of Tokoroa has been charged with recklessly discharging a firearm and unlawful possession of a pistol.
Charges against the other nine people have included possession of offensive weapons, unlawful assembly and drugs.
Mr Abbott will appear in the Tokoroa District Court on Monday.
The police are not ruling out the possibility of further arrests.
