A category four hurricane is on track to hit the United States from The Gulf of Mexico this morning.
Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall in Texas and Louisiana where more than 600,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders.
Homes and businesses are being boarded up as the hurricane, which has winds of about 205 kilometers an hour, gets closer to the coast.
Earlier the governor of Louisiana, John Bel Edwards, issued a stark warning to residents of the state.
