The leader of French Polynesia's Tahoeraa Huiraatira says it has been encouraged by the support given to Marine Le Pen in last weekend's French presidential election.
She received 41 percent of the votes while the Tahoeraa of Gaston Flosse was the only party to back her in the race against Emmanuel Macron.
Flosse said this outcome would bodeswell for the French parliamentary elections next month as this showed that all her votes were also for the Tahoeraa.
He said he was convinced that the three Tahoeraa candidates would be the ones who will win the Paris seats.
The candidates are Moana Greig, Teura Iriti and Vincent Dubois.
