Police are seeking witnesses to a robbery at Wellington's Waitangi Park last Sunday, where a 16-year-old was hit in the face with a hammer.
The teenager and a friend were approached by a group of four men, who demanded they hand over property.
The victim gave their phone and wallet, but was then struck in the face with the hammer before being punched and kicked while on the ground.
The group ran off towards the city centre, while the victim was hospitalised.
The main offender is described as being about 5' 10, skinny, aged in his late teens and wearing a black face mask and blue hoody.
