Creative New Zealand has given almost $300,000 in emergency assistance grants to support the arts in Christchurch, since December.
The agency says it's been been a hugely challenging and stressful time for artists and arts organisations.
More than $1.9 million in grants have been given to artists and arts organisations directly affected by the quakes since 2010.
Arts funding manager Gail Richards says $100,000 has been given to Gap Filler towards projects being developed in vacant spaces around the city.
Other grants include $30,000 for the Christchurch Primary Schools Cultural Festival and more than $9000 for The Contemporary Circus Trust.
