An Indonesian fishing vessel has been sunk by Papua New Guinea's defence force after it was found fishing illegally in PNG waters.
The executive manager of the National Fisheries Authority, Gisa Komangin, says the boat was found and seized in 2013 and was put up for tender by the courts, but nobody bought it.
He says the authority then asked the defence force to sink the boat with a bomb, which was done off the Lancron Navy Base in Port Moresby.
