Interviews and live sets from the New Zealand music underground. This week, we catch Auckland band Beach Pigs.
Beach Pigs describe their indie guitar pop as both intense and chill: “it’s kind of the beach and the pig, ruckus and melodic”.
Since making a splash with their impressive 2013 release, Grom Warfare, the Auckland four-piece have been working on new material for their sophomore album while playing “gigs with a bit of froth”.
Kick Out The Jams caught up with Suren, Daniel, Dahnu and Billy at Wellington's Oriental Bay and at a house party in Aro Valley.
