Barrichello edges Senna for F1 start

10:25 am on 10 March 2009

The Brazilian Rubens Barrichello has consoled compatriot Bruno Senna after beating him to the last remaining seat in Formula One with the Brawn GP team.

Barrichello, the sport's most experienced driver who was close to Senna's uncle Ayrton before the triple champion died at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, says the Senna has an obvious future in the sport.

The 36-year-old says he's just lucky that at this time Formula One has changed a little bit, and because of the lack of testing, it is going to more experienced drivers racing again.

Barrichello has 270 starts under his belt.

Switzerland's Sebastien Buemi, with Toro Rosso, will be the only rookie on the starting grid in the season starting in Australia on March the 29th.
