A child has been airlifted to Starship Children's Hospital with critical injuries following an incident involving a quad bike in Warkworth, north of Auckland.

Police were called to Warkworth Medical Centre shortly after 5pm when two people came in with injuries.
One person sustained moderate injuries and the other critical injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene on Old Kaipara Road.
An investiagtion is underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
