The Destiny Church leaders have put in a new bid for a political party name with the Electoral Commission.

In August the Electoral Commission declined the application made with the previous name, Coalition New Zealand on the basis it was likely to confuse or mislead voters.

At the time leader of Coalition New Zealand, Hannah Tamaki, responded to the rejection, saying it had been a "fabulous practice run".

"Wait for the real thing, exciting days ahead," she said.

The commission is now considering an amended application for the name Vision New Zealand as well as a proposed logo.

The application was submitted by the party's secretary Anne Williamson.

Those who wish to write to the Electoral Commission with their comments on the name and logo can do so until 16 October.
