The Ngāpuhi board aiming to settle the iwi's Treaty claims, says the vast majority of Ngāpuhi hapū are now on board the settlement waka.
Tūhoronuku recently held more elections for hapu reps, after the first round resulted in only about half the hapū joining up.
Acting chair, Sam Napia, said 70 percent of hapu now have representation on the board, taking the number of hapū kaikōrero to 75.
He said the big increase signalled that Ngāpuhi hapū are getting ready to negotiate their Treaty settlement ,and Tūhoronuku was committed to mobilising people to take part.
