Pope Francis has named a new bishop for the diocese of Wallis and Futuna.
Susitino Sionepoe will succeed Ghislain de Rasilly.
Monsignor Sionepoe, who is from Wallis, is only the second local clergyman to become the bishop of Wallis.
He was ordained in 1993 and worked in Tonga, in New Caledonia for a decade and also several years in Fiji.
More than 95 percent of people in Wallis and Futuna adhere to the Catholic faith, making it one of the most Catholic countries in the world.
