The caretaker Prime Minister of Tuvalu Enele Sopoaga expects to be sworn as the head of government tomorrow morning.
Last week's election saw 12 of the parliament's 15 members re-elected.
Mr Sopoaga says he has the support of at least 11 members, including new MP Dr Puakena Boreham and Niutao representative Samuelu Teo.
"The results have spoken for themselves to show the confidence of the people in what we were doing and I'm happy that this is confirming to us that at least what we were doing was of some good for the people of Tuvalu. It does gives us a very convincing mandate to move forward."
Mr Sopoaga says once sworn-in, his administration will focus on working on making Tuvalu less vulnerable to climate change and global economic forces.
