Man arrested in relation to aggravated burglary in Cambridge

A young man has been arrested in relation to an aggravated burglary at a jewellers in Cambridge two weeks ago.

Four people used two stolen cars in the robbery on 30 December that caused $100,000 worth of damage.

The offenders smashed into the display cabinets, taking a significant amount of jewellery and high-end watches.

The youth was arrested in Palmerston North on Monday, and will appear in the Youth Court on multiple charges, including burglary.

The police say they are following "strong lines of enquiry" to locate other people in relation to the robbery.
