Two more people, both King Cobra gang members, were arrested today in Christchurch as part of an investigation into central city assaults.
The arrests relate to three serious assaults in central Christchurch on 21 March, where one of the victims were left with a serious brain injury.
Three other men were arrested in connection to the assaults last week after early morning raids on addresses linked to the King Cobra gang.
The two men arrested today, aged 42 and 28, are both patched members of the King Cobra gang.
The five men have been charged with participating in an organised criminal group, wounding with intent, three counts of injuring with intent and assaults with intent to injure.
The two men arrested today will appear in the Christchurch District Court this afternoon.
Police said they would still like to hear from anyone with information that could assist with the investigation.
