The invisible infrastructure keeping some homes dry

The extreme flooding events in Auckland have highlighted a need for better stormwater infrastructure in our cities. 

Many areas of Auckland may have performed better than expected thanks to what's known as "invisible Infrastructure" - wetlands, grassy areas, and streams which are intentionally designed to flood in ways that keep water away from houses. 

Auckland Councillor for Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa ward Julie Fairey spoke to Kim Hill.
