Fiji's largest commercial bank the ANZ, is to lower its lending rates again in a bid to create consumer confidence and encourage investment.

The ANZ is lowering its interest rates by another half a per cent from next Monday October the 1st for housing, residential investment and business lending.

The ANZ's general manager for Fiji, Robert Bell, says the move will ease the pressure on bank customers who have been struggling.

Mr Bell says lower interest rates will encourage investment which will create jobs and in turn lead to further investment.
