A four-hectare blaze in a forest near Auckland was been extinguished overnight on Thursday.
The Fire Service used four helicopters and 10 appliances to bring the blaze at Woodhill Forest, south of Helensville, under control.
The cause of the fire among newly planted pine trees is not yet known.
