A kindergarten has been evacuated after a suspicious fire broke out in Taihape.
Two helicopters and water tankers from Wanganui, Bulls and other nearby areas are helping fire crews put out the grass fire on the Goldfinch Street side of the Taihape Domain.
No homes have been threatened in the blaze on Wednesday.
