A third significant earthquake in the past day has hit near New Caledonia's Loyalty Islands.
The Tsunami Warning Centre said a small tsunami wave had been detected.
The latest tremor, magnitude 6.6 on, came after a 7 magnitude quake yesterday and a strong aftershock this morning.
The Centre said areas close to the quake within New Caledonia needed to be cautious but there was no threat to other nations.
