A woman has been remanded on bail after being charged with murder in Napier.

The 48-year-old appeared in the city's district court this morning.
She was granted interim name suppression and will appear in the High Court in Napier next month.
She is charged with murdering a woman who was assaulted in the suburb of Piramai in February.
The victim died of her injuries about a month later.
