A person has died after crashing into a tree in Waerenga, Waikato this morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened near the intersection of Okaeria Road and Kopuku Road, was reported to police about 9.20am.
The person who died was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Diversions were in place near the crash site this morning, but the road has now reopened.
