The search is on for one of Christchurch's top jobs, with the city council posting an online advertisement for a new chief executive.
Former executive Tony Marryatt has spent the final four months of his seven-year tenure on paid leave.
Mr Marryatt was at the helm of the council's consenting team when it was stripped of accreditation following widespread public dissatisfaction at escalating costs and lengthy delays.
The advertisement says the council is seeking a candidate with experience of driving large culture change in a complex organisation and they must have an ability to operate under scrutiny from the media.
The council has contracted an executive search and recruitment consultancy to find the new chief executive.
