Clifford Brabet, who was 57, died while on a team-building day at Tree Adventures in the Woodhill Forest near Kumeu.

Mr Brabet fell when his safety wire failed.

WorkSafe New Zealand says Tree Adventures pleaded guilty at the Waitakere District Court to one charge under the Health and Safety in Employment Act of failing to ensure the safety of Mr Brabet.

Tree Adventures has been fined nearly $24,000 and ordered to pay $80,0000 in reparation to Mr Brabet's widow.
