Racing called off in Bermuda

Racing has been called off for the day in the America's Cup qualifying series in Bermuda.

The boats were left stranded because of light winds.

The conditions were below the minimum average required of 6 knots.

Team New Zealand was scheduled to race the Great Britian syndicate today.

It means all of today's races are moved to tomorrow which was scheduled to be a day off.

In the Challenger series each of the six teams races the other twice in the head-to-head match race format, with a point for the winner.

The challenger with the fewest points at the end of the qualifiers will not go through to the next semi-final round.
