A poll of 500 people shows nearly half of the respondents would like New Zealand's official summer holiday to be moved to February.
Research New Zealand director Emanuel Kalafatelis believes these people want a shift because much of New Zealand enjoys its best weather in February - when most people have returned to work.
The poll shows 44% of respondents would like the official summer holiday moved to February. However, 51% say it should stay the same and 5% say they do not know.
The poll surveyed 500 people by phone between 26 November and 3 December. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6%.
