Shot putter Maddi Wesche has won a silver medal in the women's final with a personal best of 19.86m.
She was just beaten by Germany's Yemisi Ogunleye in the last round of throws.
"Though I would have loved first and I would have loved to produce another PB ...I'm just happy to be here and Maddi Wesche the Olympic silver medallist doesn't sound too bad," she told Sky Sport.
Meanwhile, cyclists Ellesse Andrews and Shaane Fulton are both through to the 1/8 women's sprint finals.
Lydia Ko has stormed to the front of the pack in the women's individual golf tournament at the Paris Olympics, tied first equal with Morgane Metraux of Switzerland.
The last round of the golf will start about 10.30pm on Saturday NZ time.
Fresh from claiming gold in the women's kayak fours on Thursday, Dame Lisa Carrington and Alicia Hoskin nabbed another gold in the women's 500m kayak doubles overnight.
