A man arrested after a shooting in Christchurch at the weekend has been remanded in custody.
Jesse Grimwood, 22, appeared in the Christchurch District Court via video link this morning.
He's facing six charges including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of a pistol, after a 29-year-old was shot in the shoulder on Sunday in Woolston.
The incident took place on the corner of Ferry Rd and Radley St at about 8.20pm.
The injured man is in a serious condition in hospital.
Police say they aren't looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
