Police have arrested and charged a man with aggravated robbery and assault, as part of a homicide investigation in Tāneatua.

The 28-year-old will appear in the Ōpōtiki District Court today.
Police believe the man assaulted a 65-year-old man outside the bakery on Tuhoe Street on Monday afternoon.
They suspect he was linked to a group that assaulted a 57-year-old man in his home in Cobham Street, shortly beforehand.
The 57-year old died in Waikato Hospital the next day.
