Third time's the charm for Antarctic researchers trying to reach the continent this week.
The 43-person crew landed safely in New Zealand's Antarctic research station, Scott Base, on Wednesday - after 'boomeranging' the 3,800-kilometre trip twice already due to mechanical issues, and unsurprisingly, too much snow.
The New Zealand Defence Force's communications operator, Abbey Brown, is glad to be walking on ice after spending more than twenty-four hours in the air.
