The Police in North Canterbury say a motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a car on Saturday afternoon in Leithfield, on State Highway 1.
The man was 52-years old and his name will be released on Sunday once his family has been notified.
The man who was driving the car, which was carrying a family of four, suffered some injuries to his arm.
