A protest has erupted at the site of the Imperial Pacific Resort in the Northern Marianas on Friday as dozens of construction workers demanded payment of outstanding wages.
They were also concerned at living conditions they said were sub-standard.
The workers said they had not been paid by MCC International, which is the contractor at the Imperial Pacific building site, since February.
Many of the protesters described their living conditions to the territory's labour secretary Edith Deleon Guerrero, who was at the protest venue.
The protest comes as many of the MCC workers have been accused of overstaying and face being deported.
