A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged as part of an investigation into allegations of fraud at an Auckland hospital.
Earlier this month, police said they were investigating concerns a man who saw patients at Middlemore Hospital used fake documentation to get the job.
The man worked for six months in a respiratory team and saw about 80 patients.
He is expected to appear in Manukau District Court later today.
This afternoon, police said they would continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this case.
"We are not ruling out additional charges being laid but this will depend on our ongoing enquiries," said detective senior sergeant Veronica McPherson.
Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau had said a review of the cases he was involved with had shown no problems, and they were now contacting patients individually.
