New Zealanders planning on flying to London following the Queen's death may be disappointed as flights and accommodation are in high demand.
Flight Centre said it could not find flights for everyone, and some were being forced to pay top dollar for indirect routes through other countries.
Flight Centre spokesperson Victoria Courtney said the number of flight enquiries since the Queen's death was sky high.
"Definitely a lot will miss out, it's very challenging, there's very high demand," she said.
"Certainly the prices of the fares are reflecting that, but we are managing to accommodate some customers where possible."
Demand for plane tickets to the United Kingdom post-Covid was already substantial, she said, but now all flights were near capacity.
Finding somewhere to stay was also a challenge currently, she said.
"Certainly I can't imagine it will be easy to find accommodation, so my advice to people would be to find a friend who's got a sofa to sleep on," she said.
Courtney said some airlines were putting on extra flights and New Zealanders were having to book indirect routes - such as through Australia and Fiji - to get to the UK.
