A team of Canterbury University students will set off today to cycle the length of New Zealand to raise money for children living in poverty.
The 12 students will leave from Bluff on their 2500 kilometre trip.
They plan to cycle 130 kilometres each day, and hope to finish their journey in Cape Reinga on 19 February.
The group is fundraising for the children's charity Variety via a Givealittle page, under the name Great New Zealand Bike Ride.
