An Auckland mayoral candidate has announced his withdrawal from the super city race.
Comedian Ewen Gilmour says he will now support businessman Colin Craig in his campaign to become mayor.
Mr Gilmour says family matters, including illnesses, are behind his decision to pull out.
However, he says he is still considering standing for a local board position.
