Record Store Day saw Flying Out, the online music retailer of Flying Nun and Arch Hill Recordings, expand their operation with a bricks and mortar record store in Central Auckland, stocking releases from labels like Captured Tracks, Secretly Canadian and Spunk.
Music 101 producer Zac Arnold used to work for Flying Out. He visited his old bosses Ben Howe and Matthew Davis to talk about the challenge of opening a record store in 2015 and to find out how they anticipate their business changing.
