Emergency services were called to the fire after it broke out at about 2pm yesterday.

Homes on Sailors Grave Road were evacuated but residents have since been able to return home.

No buildings were lost.

Fire and Emergency says there were a few minor flareups overnight which they quickly contained.

A spokesperson says one crew is currently on site dampening hot spots.

They say a call will be made later today on what further action is needed to extinguish the fire.
