Samoa worried about little fire ants

Samoa has suspended imports of fresh flowers from American Samoa after the little fire ant was discovered in the neighbouring territory.

The little fire ant is an invasive species whose painful sting can lead to health problems in both humans and animals.

Samoa's government says all people travelling from American Samoa should check their luggage for any sign of the ant.

It says all cargo from countries that have the ant will be sprayed.
