A man has been arrested in relation to attempted abductions in Paeroa, Huntly and Hamilton.
Police said the Paeroa and Huntly incidents took place over the past three days. The Hamilton incident occurred in February.
A 31-year-old man was arrested today on kidnapping charges and further charges were being considered, detective sergeant Simon Evans said.
Extensive enquiries were made to locate the offender, he said.
The man is due to appear in Hamilton District Court on Wednesday.
