Police in French Polynesia have for the first time discovered a site used to produce methamphetamine.
They raided premises near Taravao on Tahiti's peninsula and arrested several people.
They said the raid followed four months of investigations.
Methamphetamines seized in Tahiti in the past had always been smuggled in from the United States.
There have been a raft of high-profile cases in recent years.
Figures show last year 130 people were charged with methamphetamine-related offences and about 25 kilos of the drug were seized.
