Campbell Stewart has been unable to add to the New Zealand track cycling team's medal haul at the Olympic velodrome.
Stewart, the men's omnium silver medallist, has finished a distant 11th in the men's madison with Corbin Strong.
They were amongst a number of riders to crash in the 50km race and were docked 20 points for being lapped.
Stewart and Strong finished on -17 points after picking up just three sprint points, with Denmark winning gold with 43 sprint points.
Great Britain and France finished level on 40 points, but the Brits took silver after winning the final sprint.
None of the pairings were able to take a lap on the field to pick up 20 points.
Earlier in the evening, women's keirin silver medallist Ellesse Andrews bowed out of the women's sprint competition.
Andrews was beaten in the third round and was unable to progress from her repechage.
But Callum Saunders has progressed to the quarterfinals of the men's keirin.
Saunders has finished second in his first round heat to secure a place in the next round.
Sam Webster finished fifth in his first round heat and then third in his repechage to fall short of the quarterfinals.
The keirin quarterfinals are tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.
Holly Edmondston is the only other New Zealand rider in action on the final day of the Tokyo Olympics.
She will ride in the women's omnium.
