Justice Minister Judith Collins has flatly rejected claims by the Labour Party that she gave a former National MP special treatment when appointing her as Equal Employment Opportunities Commissioner.
Labour's deputy leader Grant Robertson says Jackie Blue's expression of interest was put in a month after the deadline of 13 October last year.
However, Ms Judith Collins told Parliament on Wednesday that Mr Robertson has it all wrong.
She said there is no deadline because the position is a ministerial appointment.
