Searchers handing out leaflets at lake

07:45 am on 3 September 2011

The police are urging people to report any sightings of two men who went missing during a fishing trip at Lake Arapuni in south Waikato.

The men, aged 21 and 45, have not been seen since setting off in their boat from Jones Landing at the northern end of the lake on Sunday.

The police will be handing out leaflets at the lake on Saturday seeking information that could help them narrow down the search on the 25-kilometre-long lake.

The 21-year old man is Jordan Pooley of Tokoroa.

The men were reported missing on Wednesday, after a dog belonging to one of them returned home alone.
