New COVID-19 case in CNMI is recent passenger

A recent passenger has tested positive for coronavirus in the CNMI, taking the territory's number of active Covid-19 cases to five.

The 30-year-old woman arrived on a United Airlines flight from Guam on Thursday and originated from the U.S. mainland.

Governor Ralph Torres' Covid-19 Taskforce said she was asymptomatic and had existing medical conditions.

The individual, along with other passengers aboard the same flight, have been in quarantine since their arrival and are being monitored closely by medical teams.

23 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the CNMI with 16 recoveries, and two deaths.
